jLog is a modern Logging program for Hams that can run on all major platforms, e.g. macOS, Linux, Windows,
etc. It offers a nice, clean interface and allows efficient entry of QSOs. It provides good real-time
integrations and Internet lookups and logging.
A new V6.12 release of jLog is finally available (after numerous hours of work with the horizontal scroll bar) from https://jlog.org and
brings the following changes:
Enhancements
- Introduces a horizontal scroll bar in combination with 'View->Auto Resize View' to allow reduction of the overall size of jLog without losing information
- Allows maximum width to be set for wide columns when using 'Auto Resize View' (to be set in the Profile, Visual tab)
- Allow ADIF ADX Export of selected rows only
- Added the 'QRZ Web lookup' menu item in the log window, Callsign search and Tracker right-click pop-up menus
- Changed WSJT-X Tracker colour scheme for better readability and consistency. It is now possible for users to change it, i.e. to choose foreground/background colours for WSJT-X callsign colouring
- New Tracker "wanted grids" to be warned in WSJT-X about stations from these grids
- Enable Tracker to also lookup "73" messages. Note that this and other auto lookups, require a fairly powerful computer and fast Internet connection.
- Updated the built-in Java to the latest JDK 21.0.4 LTS version
Corrections
- Removed the annoying and misleading warning at startup about eQSL file loading (due to a minor change at eQSL.cc after jLog V6.11 was released)
- Minor cosmetic changes (e.g. field or font sizes)
Known problems
